Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland14/06/2016
Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland (RCN), the government agency that provides the link between the ministries represented on the Caribbean islands of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba, has launched a completely new website. The new site was developed by Hyarchis using the company’s web content management solution: Hyarchis Waxtrapp. The website is intended to provide information to inhabitants, organisations and institutions on those three islands. The main goal for RCN was to follow the ‘web guidelines’ instituted by the Dutch national government. Those rules state e.g. that websites need to be easily accessible and easy to find via search engines.
Hyarchis transferred the website to Hyarchis Waxtrapp and arranged hosting. RCN opted for Hyarchis so it would have a single point of contact for everything involving the website, including development, management and hosting. Hyarchis Waxtrapp also includes many modules and functionalities specifically designed for government use, which are easy to integrate if additional services are added. What does the new system mean for website visitors? Information is structured even more clearly and presented in a visually appealing format.
