Thomas van Zuijlen will start as Chief Experience Officer (CXO) of Hyarchis on September first. He will also join the Board of Directors. Thomas will be responsible for improving the customer experience at a time when Hyarchis expects to grow rapidly.
Thomas is an experienced facilitator and agile coach who has worked for top international brands in banking (ABN Amro, DNB), travel (Schiphol, Otravo), and tech (LeaseWeb, WeTransfer, MessageBird), with a focus on agile product development and organizational culture. Thomas is a well-known figure within the European scrum community with a specialization in scale-ups and purpose-driven collaboration.
In addition to his work in organizational change, he is a sought-after speaker at events such as The Next Web, The Scrum Exchange, Agile Tour Vilnius, Aginext.io, and Serverless Amsterdam.
Focus on the customer
‘The bigger a company gets, the greater the risk of losing sight of the customer,’ says Thomas. My job is to ensure that we continue to develop the products the customer wants and that our product teams keep track of what they are doing it all for. You do this with an iterative process, constantly testing what you’re doing and continuing to collaborate a lot with other departments.’
Adriaan Hoogduijn, CEO of Hyarchis, says: ‘We are in a phase of rapid growth. Regulatory technology is currently one of the fastest-growing markets within the fintech ecosystem. In this phase, it is important that our products continue to meet the needs of an ever-growing group of customers. With Thomas, we have the right person for this.’
‘Fortunately, Thomas is no stranger to Hyarchis. When we launched our first international location in 2018, Thomas was closely involved in setting up the teams. Central to this was working with multilingual teams on different continents in different time zones. Since the start in 2018, Thomas has always been closely involved with Hyarchis and in the process, we have also successfully set up a nearshoring business in the IT sector. We are extremely pleased that he is now coming on board to manage our growth over the next few years.
With the arrival of Thomas van Zuijlen, the Hyarchis board of directors consists of two people, which will be expanded to a four-person board later this year. A new Chief Commercial Officer will start on November first and a Chief Operating Officer will follow on January first.
The Management Board will be responsible for Hyarchis’ growth in existing markets and, in particular, for further internationalization. Regulatory compliance in the financial sector is increasingly being organized on a European level, and Hyarchis expects to grow further in Germany and the United Kingdom, in addition to the Benelux.
